autism therapy services
Find more calm, connection, and progress in your everyday life
Our strengths-based therapy for autistic children, teens, and adults gives your family practical tools, expert guidance, and compassionate support — so life starts feeling easier, not harder.
OUR SERVICES
1:1 and group therapy
For children and teens: Families are matched with a dedicated Master’s- or doctoral-level provider who delivers personalized support for communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and everyday life challenges.
Our therapeutic groups bring autistic kids, teens, or parents together to learn alongside peers in a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming environment—so no one has to do this alone.
For autistic adults: We offer individual therapy and affirming groups designed to help autistic adults better understand autism, build practical life skills, and explore their identity through a strengths-based lens.

OUR SERVICES
Specialty consultations made simple
We offer access to specialty providers—such as occupational, physical, and speech-language therapists, as well as experts in the education system—whenever you or your child need them.
They can join your sessions with your Avela Health clinician, meet with you one-on-one, or collaborate directly with your care team to provide added support.

What can I expect from autism therapy with Avela Health?
At your first virtual visit, you’ll meet your provider and talk about what’s going on for your family: your concerns, your goals, and what you hope to accomplish together.
From there, you and your provider will build a care plan—a personalized roadmap that lays out how you’ll work toward your goals and how you’ll stay connected along the way.
For some families, that looks like quick 15-minute check-ins a few times a week, plus messaging support in between. For others, a weekly hour-long session feels right. Many families land somewhere in between.
You and your provider will make a plan together, so you’re never left wondering what’s next.
Who are Avela Health clinicians?
Your family will be matched with a dedicated provider who holds a Master’s or Doctoral degree in behavioral health (e.g., psychology, special education) and brings specialized expertise in evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming care—so you can trust that your family is in skilled, compassionate hands.
Do Avela Health clinicians work directly with my child?
Depending on your child’s needs and your goals as a parent, your Avela Health therapist may work with your child directly, with you as the caregiver, or with both of you together.
Our focus is on helping your child grow—and helping you feel confident in how to support them. That means giving you clear strategies, useful insights, and the kind of support that makes a real difference at home and beyond.
Does Avela Health offer therapy for autistic adults?
Yes. Many adults come to Avela Health after their child is diagnosed and begin recognizing their own neurodivergence. Our family-centered approach makes space for that discovery, too.
We offer individual therapy and affirming groups for autistic adults, focused on understanding autism through a strengths-based lens, building practical life skills, and navigating everyday challenges with greater clarity, self-trust, and support.
